Kai
Kai (he/him/his) is a queer transman who began transition in 1995. Before beginning life as an amateur podcaster, Kai spent his free time watching reruns of “The Great British Bake Off”. Kai surrounds himself with lots of furry critters, including his clownish Frenchie, Honey. Kai enjoys storytelling, came out of the womb asking questions, and is thrilled to get to know his transmasculine brothers a little better through this podcast.

Adam
Hi, I’m Adam (he/him). I’m a 44 year old trans dad of two, living in New York and trying to figure out what the heck I’m doing with the rest of my life. I started medical transition about two years ago, right around the time this podcast first made its debut, and was ecstatic to have it as a resource (and a security blanket, and a cozy pillow on which I could lay my head down to cry sometimes––an aural transitional object if you will) while I navigated the more excruciating parts of my midlife gender meltdown.
I’m thrilled to offer my skills as a writer and researcher to the show, and will be helping STP create bonus content for members in the form of our new “Transitory” segments showcasing transmasculine figures throughout history. (I have a tendency to make everything about me, though, so you’ll probably have to suffer through some of my tales of transparenthood and anti-capitalist rants along the way).
Adam contacted us early in 2023 because he loved listening to the STP and wanted to volunteer. From the moment Kai & Jackal met Adam, we knew he was something special. We absolutely fell in love him and you will, too. Adam began his transition a few years ago and like many of us trans guys, his life was forever changed. He is a parent, a gifted storyteller, funny as hell, and a joy to work with. Adam is heading the transmasc history segment, “Transitory”, and is delving deep as he researches. Join Adam as he introduces you to new and familiar transmasc folks with his engaging style and panache.
