John

John Otto has a Bachelor’s degree in transgender studies (aka interdisciplinary gender & sex studies) and has worked professionally advocating for transgender people in Washington DC.  He is of the first generation to come out and enter adulthood post-Stonewall and has been every letter of LGBT along the way.  John’s knowledge of transgender people comes not just through academic and personal experience, but also from his years facilitating and moderating in-person and online support groups.  He has given numerous conference presentations, seminars, and expert witness testimony on transgender people.  He also has a Master of Library and Information Science degree.
